Hotel Villa delle Ortensie

Situation: This villa is located 620 m above sea level, nestled among panoramic peaceful hills and a mass of pines, palms and olive trees near the slopes of Mount Etna. A pizzeria and trattoria serving delicious meals in typical Sicilian style is just 500 m away, as are a small supermarket, bars and restaurant, in the town of Presa. The nearest beach is just 10 km away, or a 20-minute car journey.

Lodging: The ground floor of the main house offers a sitting/dining room, a kitchen area with a 4-ring gas stove, an electric oven, a fridge/freezer, a double sink unit, and door out to a covered eating area, as well as a small shower room and a WC. The 1st floor has a twin room, a double room and a shower room with a WC and features a terrace with views. The annexe on the ground floor includes a sitting/dining room with a double sofa bed, a kitchen cupboard, a double room and a shower room with a WC. All accommodation comes with heating.

Services: This is an unpretentious 9-bedroom private country holiday home with a cosy annexe and is entirely suitable for a great family holiday. A secluded, shaded eating area is equipped with a barbeque and a pizza oven. This property is airy and comfortable and is entirely fenced in. Access is via electric gates, within which ample parking is available for those arriving by car.

Sports: The kidney-shaped swimming pool is below the main house and may be reached via steps. The pool area is furnished with sun loungers and parasol and lighting, as well as offering a sauna and a shower. The annex is located next to the pool.

Comments: A refundable security deposit is payable on arrival. Cot hire is chargeable and is payable locally. Late arrivals after 8 pm are chargeable, and payable locally. If guests need any assistance during their stay, they should contact the Italian office on 095 374183 or (mobile) 338 6376526.

How to arrive: Guests arriving by car from Catania Airport should take the bypass (link road) to the Catania Nord toll-booth, the starting point of the Catania-Messina motorway (A18). Take this motorway and exit at the third turn off (Fiumefreddo di Sicilia). At this point, guests should call the owner again on the above number so that he can accompany them to the house.
