Situation: This villa is located 1.5 km from Baia dei Sospiri beach and 5 km from the ancient fishing village of Brucoli, where guests will find the nearest restaurants and bars. For more bustle, as well as essential shops such as a chemists and banks, the town of Augusta is a 20-minute drive away - its old centre is detached from the mainland, and lies on its own islet surrounded by 2 harbours. Frederick II's castle on the causeway is a must-see and guests can enjoy the very best in Sicilian seafood in its numerous restaurants.

Lodging: The main building (for up to 6 people) offers a sitting/dining area, a WC with a washing machine, a kitchen with a dishwasher, an oven, a gas stove, and a fridge/freezer. On the 1st floor guests will find a twin room, a double room with en suite shower room and a WC, a double room and a shower room with a WC. The annexe (for up to 12 people) offers an entrance into the sitting/dining area, a kitchen with a double sink unit, an electric oven, a 4-ring gas stove, and a fridge/freezer as well as a twin room, 2 double rooms, a bathroom, a WC, 2 shower rooms and a WC with a washing machine. An ironing set is provided with the accommodation as standard.

Services: This is a private residential country estate with restricted access to the Baia dei Sospiri, or Bay of Sighs. Sighs, because the bay's crystal clear waters, well-maintained lawns pinned by palm trees and general air of exclusivity, will doubtless make guests sigh with pleasure. This is a modern-style family home located in the midst of countryside, surrounded by olive groves and rolling Sicilian hills and offering a total of 14 rooms. The property has lots of clean lines, cool airy spaces, and, despite its proximity to the sea, an above-ground swimming pool. The house is divided into 2 independent parts, each of which can house six people: the main 2-floor part and a single ground floor annexe, linked together by a cool outside eating area with a ping pong table. Ample covered private parking is available for those arriving by car. Features include an outside shower and a delightful barbeque area outside the kitchen.

Sports: The outdoor swimming pool is open between May and September (weather permitting) and guests may relax on the sun terrace with its sun loungers and parasols.

Comments: A refundable security deposit is payable on arrival. Cot hire is chargeable and payable locally. Late arrivals after 8 pm are chargeable and payable locally. If guests need any assistance during their stay, they should contact the Italian office on 095 374183 or (mobile) 338 6376526.

How to arrive: Guests arriving by car from Catania's airport should follow signs to Tangenziale and Siracusa. Thereafter follow signs to Tangenziale ovest and Siracusa (on the S.S. 114). Follow S.S. 114 for 13.5 km from the airport and pass over a bridge on the Simeto River. After about 20 km from airport, cross over a second bridge on the San Leonardo River. After about 26.5 km from the airport guests will see an Esso petrol station on the right. After about 2.5 km they will see a crossroad sign for Brucoli on the right. On leaving S.S. 114, turn right after about 150 m and proceed in the direction of Brucoli/Augusta (S.P. 57). Continue in this direction for about 3.5 km until seeing 2 public rubbish bins on the left. Close by these bins they will find the entrance to the private road for Arcile. Follow this narrow road for about 600 m and on reaching a small bridge over a railway turn immediately right. After about 50 m the property's main gate will come into view.
